Riga: Mini Guide
Caleb and I were SO pleasantly surprised by Riga! It’s not a very popular tourist destination which makes it extra awesome to visit!
The prices are cheap, the food is great, the buildings are beautiful and it’s actually super lively and has a lot of great history and things to see and do!

WHERE TO STAY
When it comes to where to stay in Riga. you will want to stay near the old town in the city center. (Centra rajons) This encompasses the center and old town of the city, where most of the best things to do are.
In terms of getting around, you will want to walk around Riga because the old town area is SO small and you can easily reach it by foot. There are some main attractions outside old town but even those are super close and easy to walk.
Below, you’ll find our favorite stays in Riga center, with a few backups that we had researched and feel super confident recommending. We’ve picked options that balance comfort with affordability, so you can save your euros! Accommodation in Riga is so affordable, and we kept our picks nice & low priced since that’s how we travel – we’re never in the room anyway!
