Welcome to our exclusive-for-you master list of all our favorite accommodations that we have stayed in across the world – even locations that we have not written blog posts about yet. It’s going to take us some time to write about all the locations we’ve been to, but we didn’t want you to miss out on our hotel picks.

We won’t include accommodations that we did not think were great/good value for money – only the best stuff! Note: we don’t have our own photos for a lot of places we stayed as it was before we documented stuff like that for the blog!

This is a living and breathing list, so we will update it as we A. travel to new places and B. Remember all the hotels that we’ve done in the past! There’s a lot. 😅

We have recommendations for places beyond this list, we’re just highlighting our favorites. If you’re going somewhere, just email us and see if we have a recommendation if you don’t see it on this list – between my AirBnB and Booking.com, we have over 100 hotel stays so there are good chances we have a rec for you!

EUROPE

SPAIN

MALLORCA

AirBnB: Charming Apartment Nearby Sea
Why We Love It/Why Book:
This location was honestly unbeatable. It was right in the center of the old town of Palma, and we could walk everywhere. A grocery store was around the corner and it was right on top of a tapas bar with a balcony overlooking a quiet plaza! It even had a porch in the back with a table and chairs, which was so nice to drink a glass of wine! It’s a typical Mallorcan apartment and is decorated very beautifully and artsy. The hosts are excellent and super helpful, with lots of recommendations!

MADRID

AirBnB: Diana’s Place
Why We Love It/Why Book:
This was the PERFECT location literally right next to the Mercado San Miguel and within 5-15 minutes walk from all of our favorite places. It was SUPER clean, the bed was comfy and the apartment was really well stocked. The host had a super quick response time and let us check in REALLY early. She met us and even gave us a bottle of Tempranillo when Caleb mentioned it was his favorite. We really liked that it’s super central, but still not loud at all!

The design is kinda quirky, but it’s super cute.

AirBnB: Apartment Vintage Downtown
Why We Love It/Why Book:
We have stayed so many places in Madrid, and this is another favorite. It’s on a busy downtown street with an enclosed balcony that looks over all the action – super fun! It’s a bit noisier because of this, but not bad. We really liked the open concept, colors, and whole “boho” vibe here.

LONDON, ENGLAND

Hotel: The Crescent Hyde Park
Why We Love It/Why Book:
The location here is SO GREAT! It’s a couple of minutes walk from Paddington Station, so you can get everywhere quickly. The room was a good price for the size and the staff was super friendly! Just to note: the stairs are STEEP and there is no elevator.

Excellent value for money, especially in London!

HUNGARY

BUDAPEST

AirBnB: Entire Condo in Budapest Hungary
Why We Love It/Why Book:
We stayed here for a month and LOVED IT! This apartment is SO central and it’s MASSIVE – 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The kitchen is HUGE for Europe and everything is really clean with excellent response time. We would stay here again for longer in a heartbeat.

Hotel: 7Seasons Apartments
Why We Love It/Why Book:
If you don’t want an AirBnB, this one is for you – it’s a blend of both! We love that we got a spacious apartment with a hotel lobby and EPIC location. You can’t get more central to walking to al the main spots and it’s right inside a cool area with restaurants and a laundromat if you need it!

LAKE BALATON

Hotel: Villa Kabala
Why We Love It/Why Book:
BECAUSE IT’S MICHELIN GUIDE RECOMMENDED! We stayed here when we went wine tasting in Hungary and it could not have been more amazing. They make EPIC food (DO THE tasting menu) and their own wine and the owners are so nice. This is one of the most memorable meals we’ve ever had and is worth every penny. The location is stunning, private, and romantic too!

DRESDEN, GERMANY

Hotel: Aparthotels Münzgasse An der Frauenkirche
Why We Love It/Why Book:
Hello, value for the location! We were right by the main church and RIGHT over a Christmas market. The location was close to pretty much everything by foot. While the inside was a little old school, it was super spacious especially for Europe!

WROCLAW, POLAND

AirBnB: Jungle Apartments
Why We Love It/Why Book:
Look at how unique the design is! It’s such a random find in the middle of Poland! It’s over the top but in a good way and the location is central and walkable. The host was super responsive and even let us drop our bags off REALLY early – we loved having self check-in too!

PRAGUE

Hotel: Unitas Residence
Why We Love It/Why Book:
This was the perfect location in Prague because it was SUPER close to walk to downtown, but not right in the downtown area so that it was loud or crazy. The lobby felt high class without being expensive and they even off free drinks and snacks in the afternoon – once we even got free mulled wine! The rooms are clean, spacious and just what you need after a day of exploring!

TALLINN, ESTONIA

Hotel: Lovely Little Apartment
Why We Love It/Why Book:
This is TRULY in the center of old town. We love that this apartment overlooks the main street but is tucked off in an adorable courtyard. The inside is VERY big and the hosts are really sweet and communicative. It’s so cute inside too!

GALWAY, IRELAND

Hotel: The Huntsman Inn
Why We Love It/Why Book:
This was super unique because it was overtop of a pub which felt so authentic! Don’t worry, it wasn’t too loud. It’s about a 15-minute walk from downtown, but it’s a pretty walk that we liked taking. The inside is really spacious and beautiful and felt super high end for being on top of a pub!

ASIA

THAILAND

BANGKOK

Hotel: THEE Bangkok Hotel
Why We Love It/Why Book:
This hotel is tucked away in a quiet side street in the “trendy” district of Bangkok so you’re nice and central without it feeling crazy. We loved that it’s surrounded by local food stands and awesome foot massages and the staff was really helpful and friendly. The rooms were also HUGE and felt really luxe for how cheap they are!

CHIANGMAI

Hotel: T Heritage Hotel
Why We Love It/Why Book:
Hello, fancy! This hotel was “spendy” for Asia and it was worth it. The rooms were super modern and big with an awesome bathroom. The staff was friendly and they had a bar with cool cocktails! The location was super walkable to the main sites but not in a loud area – utter hotel perfection right here!

VIETNAM

TAM COC/NINH BINH

HOTEL: Tam Coc Dibi Villa
Why We Love It/Why Book:
This hotel was decorated in the traditional wooden design and the rooms are super spacious! We love that there is a big pool right in the middle and the location is perfect just on the outskirts, but walkable to everything. The staff is super helpful and had motorbikes that we rented to drive around the rice paddies – that was EPIC! They also have a bar and restaurant on site so you don’t have to leave if you don’t want to!

HO CHI MINH CITY

Hotel: Leiden Homestay&Cafe
Why We Love It/Why Book:
We were the first American guests for this family and they were so sweet! The room is above a cute coffee shop and they give you your first drink free. The two sons that greeted us were so smiley and kind and we loved the Amsterdam-themed decor and SUPER clean rooms! It’s an excellent location, too, and walkable from everything!

SINGAPORE

Hotel: KēSa House
Why We Love It/Why Book:
Finding something affordable in Singapore is REALLY REALLY hard. We can’t lie, the rooms are SMALL but they use the space REALLY well. The staff are very friendly and the inside is gorgeous with laundry, a kitchen area and a beautiful shared porch to sit. The location is IDEAL and right downtown, walkable to all the best Hawker stalls!
