Welcome to our exclusive-for-you master list of all our favorite accommodations that we have stayed in across the world – even locations that we have not written blog posts about yet. It’s going to take us some time to write about all the locations we’ve been to, but we didn’t want you to miss out on our hotel picks.

We won’t include accommodations that we did not think were great/good value for money – only the best stuff! Note: we don’t have our own photos for a lot of places we stayed as it was before we documented stuff like that for the blog!

This is a living and breathing list, so we will update it as we A. travel to new places and B. Remember all the hotels that we’ve done in the past! There’s a lot. 😅

We have recommendations for places beyond this list, we’re just highlighting our favorites. If you’re going somewhere, just email us and see if we have a recommendation if you don’t see it on this list – between my AirBnB and Booking.com, we have over 100 hotel stays so there are good chances we have a rec for you!

MALLORCA

AirBnB: Charming Apartment Nearby Sea
Why We Love It/Why Book:
This location was honestly unbeatable. It was right in the center of the old town of Palma, and we could walk everywhere. A grocery store was around the corner and it was right on top of a tapas bar with a balcony overlooking a quiet plaza! It even had a porch in the back with a table and chairs, which was so nice to drink a glass of wine! It’s a typical Mallorcan apartment and is decorated very beautifully and artsy. The hosts are excellent and super helpful, with lots of recommendations!

MADRID

AirBnB: Diana’s Place
Why We Love It/Why Book:
This was the PERFECT location literally right next to the Mercado San Miguel and within 5-15 minutes walk from all of our favorite places. It was SUPER clean, the bed was comfy and the apartment was really well stocked. The host had a super quick response time and let us check in REALLY early. She met us and even gave us a bottle of Tempranillo when Caleb mentioned it was his favorite. We really liked that it’s super central, but still not loud at all!

The design is kinda quirky, but it’s super cute.

AirBnB: Apartment Vintage Downtown
Why We Love It/Why Book:
We have stayed so many places in Madrid, and this is another favorite. It’s on a busy downtown street with an enclosed balcony that looks over all the action – super fun! It’s a bit noisier because of this, but not bad. We really liked the open concept, colors, and whole “boho” vibe here.

LONDON, ENGLAND

Hotel: The Crescent Hyde Park
Why We Love It/Why Book:
The location here is SO GREAT! It’s a couple of minutes walk from Paddington Station, so you can get everywhere quickly. The room was a good price for the size and the staff was super friendly! Just to note: the stairs are STEEP and there is no elevator.

Excellent value for money, especially in London!

Why We Love It/Why Book:
If you don’t want an AirBnB, this one is for you – it’s a blend of both! We love that we got a spacious apartment with a hotel lobby and EPIC location. You can’t get more central to walking to al the main spots and it’s right inside a cool area with restaurants and a laundromat if you need it!

LAKE BALATON

Hotel: Villa Kabala
Why We Love It/Why Book:
BECAUSE IT’S MICHELIN GUIDE RECOMMENDED! We stayed here when we went wine tasting in Hungary and it could not have been more amazing. They make EPIC food (DO THE tasting menu) and their own wine and the owners are so nice. This is one of the most memorable meals we’ve ever had and is worth every penny. The location is stunning, private, and romantic too!

PUGLIA – BARI

AirBnB: A Casa Di Malu
Why We Love It/Why Book:
There is a decent priced paid parking garage a 2 min walk and parking is hard in the city. The apartment was spacious, clean and only 10-15 minutes walk from town. Communication with the host was fast and check in was easy!!

Hotel: Barivera Rooms
Why We Love It/Why Book:
Literally RIGHT across the street from A casa di malu! This room was super spacious with a huge bathroom. You can use the same parking garage just 2 min walk away and they have a $15 per day discounted rate. It’s 15 mins walk to city center and communication with the host was great!

PUGLIA – MATERA

Hotel: A Sole Di Paglia
Why We Love It/Why Book:
OMG! One of our favorite stays ever. You are RIGHT in the old town in an old apartment that is BEAUTIFUL and SO spacious. AND DID YOU SEE THE VIEW? It’s right over top of a restaurant, so you know the view is good. We had some nice coffee and wine with views here. Just make sure you park before going into the old town….we drove through it accidentally, and that is a no-no. You will have to walk a bit if you stay here!

PUGLIA – CEGLIE MESSAPICA

Hotel: Masseria LoJazzo
Why We Love It/Why Book:
Also a top stay for us. The grounds are STUNNING and you get to stay in a traditional Trulli house! You do have to climb up stairs to get to the bed and it’s small (also the bathroom has no door, it’s just behind a wall)but we loved it. The breakfast was SOOOOOO pretty and SO delicious – all fresh products. MUST STAY.

Why We Love It/Why Book:
We did think we were actually staying in a trulli and were bummed to find it was just inspired by. But, the grounds are stunning and it has a pool with a view! The room is beautiful, and the breakfast is awesome and in a stunning glass-walled, green-house type thing. BEAUTIFUL and only a short drive into Ostuni.

SICILY – TAORMINA

Hotel: B&B Floridia
Why We Love It/Why Book:
Can’t lie -the inside was nothing special and the included breakfast was meh but we had other breakfast ideas anyway. BUT it is reasonably priced, super nice hosts (insisted on sending us on the road with free paninis) and a GREAT location!!!

SICILY – CEFALU

Hotel: B&B Panorama
Why We Love It/Why Book: The check-in process is a bit weird, and you need wifi to do it, but other than that, I loved it. AMAZING location with a stunning view from the patio! The morning breakfast woman is SO sweet and good breakfast with pastries, meats, cheeses and scrambled eggs! They also could have painted the room not lime green lol..but that didn’t effect our stay. 😅

SICILY – PALERMO

Hotel: This Airbnb
Why We Love It/Why Book:
This place is HUGE! 2 Bathrooms! It’s super modern and in a beautiful part of old town. It’s central so a bit noisy but we didn’t mind. Fast wifi, clean and lovely! We thought this was a score especially since we were there a few days. Parking can be hard but that is all over Europe!

SICILY – ERICE

Hotel: Residence San Martino
Why We Love It/Why Book:
Beautiful room with a GORGEOUS courtyard (that I forgot to take photos of lol) for breakfast or just chilling. SICILY – CALTAGIRONE

Hotel: Casale Di Benedetto
Why We Love It/Why Book:
A GORGEOUS old villa on a farm just 20 mins walk from city center with free parking. We didn’t know our bathroom was across the hall when we booked (but it was private for us) but it wasn’t that big a deal. Shared kitchen and everything was decorated to nicely. Loved it!

MONTENEGRO

KOTOR

AirBnB: Studio Jeff1
Why We Love It/Why Book:
It’s a 20 min walk to old town but we loved that because the old town is so busy with tourists. It has steps right down to the prettiest and least busy part of the promenade. BUT it’s up a HUGE hill so don’t book it if you can’t do hills. It is very small but didn’t bother us!

PRAGUE

Hotel: Unitas Residence
Why We Love It/Why Book:
This was the perfect location in Prague because it was SUPER close to walk to downtown, but not right in the downtown area so that it was loud or crazy. The lobby felt high class without being expensive and they even off free drinks and snacks in the afternoon – once we even got free mulled wine! The rooms are clean, spacious and just what you need after a day of exploring!
