Welcome to our exclusive-for-you master list of all our favorite activities that we have done across the world – even locations that we have not written blog posts about yet. It’s going to take us some time to write about all the locations we’ve been to, but we didn’t want you to miss out on the best experiences!

We won’t include activities that we didn’t think were worth the money – only the best stuff!

This is a living and breathing list, so we will update it as we A. travel to new places and B. Remember all the tours/activities that we’ve done in the past!

MADRID

Activity: Tapas, Taverns, and History Food Tour
Why We Love It/Why Book:
We’ve done this food tour twice because it was that good. You’ll go to locally-owned, off-the-beaten-path tapas bars to try some of the best tapas in Madrid, with exclusive access (no waiting in line!) We love not having to worry about making reservations for a night, exploring non-touristy places and getting lots of insight on where else to eat for the rest of our trip from locals!

Did we mention that we got 6 glasses of wine/vermouth included? OH YEA.

Activity: Tapas Cooking Class with Bottomless Wine Pairing
Why We Love It/Why Book:
This cooking class was really focused on just having fun and experiencing what Spaniards really value – spending time socializing and enjoying life! We loved that *most* of the prep work was done for us so we got to do some easy cooking, but more wine-drinking and talking with the other people there! We made 5 DELICIOUS tapas and then pro-chef prepared the main and dessert for us. It was SO nice to not have to worry about where to eat/drink and making reservations for a night.

The value for the amount of food/wine you get is pretty epic honestly.

And when they say “bottomless,” they truly mean it. Our glasses weren’t even empty before they were refilled!

Activity: Flamenco Show at Cafe Ziryab / Or book it here on Get Your Guide
Why We Love It/Why Book:
Do not let the low amount of reviews on Viator scare you off (way more on GYG!) This is our favorite flamenco show in Madrid because it’s less touristy and off the beaten path. The venue is small so you can sit up front and really feel the passion. The flamenco isn’t flashy for tourists; it’s authentic and so good. If you want a true flamenco experience, go here.

We do recommend eating before as it has a super small menu and flamenco theatres aren’t known for their food.

MALLORCA

Activity: Catamaran Boat Cruise with Tapas
Why We Love It/Why Book:
We’re not usually “boat people” as we get bored easily, but this exceeded our expectations! You get to spend hours on a catamaran with a very small group and they give you access to exclusive, hidden coves that you can’t see without a tour. They’re away from the party boats too!

We loved being able to swim in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea and sit on rock formations, all among private coves! Romantic!

Being able to drink wine on the boat and have some snacks was lovely too!

Activity: Paella Cooking Adventure
Why We Love It/Why Book:
We loved being able to meet a local and go to her home to make Paella! The location was beautiful and felt authentic (we met her dad, who lived there, too!), and the whole activity was interactive. We made the BEST seafood Paella ever and had some traditional tapas and endless local wine!

If you’re looking for something that feels really authentic in Mallorca, this is it.

SAN SEBASTIAN

Activity: San Sebastian Ultimate Pinxtos and Wine Tour
Why We Love It/Why Book:
This is the tour that made us LOVE San Sebastian! When we first arrived, we didn’t understand how to “do” pintxos and tapas crawl, and we didn’t see why everyone loved San Sebastian. But then this tour changed everything, and now we have some VERY fond memories of eating the BEST mussels in a tini “mussels only” tapas bar that you can’t get into without being on a tour.

Did we mention all the wine? OH. YES.

BARCELONA

Activity: The Original Tapas Crawl Adventure
Why We Love It/Why Book:
We loved that this tour felt more “local” then put on by a food tour company! You really feel like you are exploring local favorite restaurants! We got access to some popular spots and had traditional and contemporary tapas. Our group was so fun we all ended up going out for more wine at the end!

We did this many years ago before we took photos of everything so no food photos – sorry!

BUDAPEST

Activity: Foodapest Cooking Class
Why We Love It/Why Book:
We’ve done a few cooking classes across Europe and this one felt the most local and authentic! We got to tour the market hall and try ingredients and then go back to a local apartment to cook traditional Chicken Paprikash! Our guide, Joe, we so nice and helpful but we didn’t feel pressure to cook things “perfectly.” Sitting down family-style with the other guests over local wine list (which was flowing all evening!) was a great way to end!

This is a great experience to make memories and be able to cook some new things together when you get home. You won’t regret this one!

Activity: Private Wine Tasting in Budapest
Why We Love It/Why Book:
Do not even think; just BOOK THIS TOUR. We stumbled across this hidden gem wine bar one evening and then went back 4 times that week (and we usually don’t go to a place more than once!) The owner, Mickey, is a wine judge so he will teach you SO much about Hungarian wine and let you try equally as much! The value for your money is incredible and you won’t get anything more local in terms of wine tasting!

Tell him that Taylor and Caleb sent you 🙂

Activity: Danube River Night Sightseeing Cruise
Why We Love It/Why Book:
We went on 5 boat cruises just so we could tell you the best one (you’re welcome) and this is it! We LOVED that this boat cruise took a different route than all the rest so you get much better views of the city on the water that you could not get anywhere else. The entire boat is glass so you also get the best views without getting cold. And, the free wine is a nice bonus!

ROME

Activity: Twilight Trastevere Food Tour
Why We Love It/Why Book: We talk about this food tour probably at least once a week, and it’s been a few years since we did (hence the not-so-pretty photos.) It’s one of the best we’ve ever done (and we’ve done SO MANY!) We got into some of the hottest spots in the neighborhood without a wait, and all the spots were totally local-run. Our favorite spot was an ancient wine cellar where artifacts that are now in the Vatican were found, and the pasta at the end honestly changed our lives.

ISTANBUL

Activity: Taste of Two Continents Food Tour
Why We Love It/Why Book:
This was the most intense food tour we have ever done – it was almost an entire day and have almost 10 different restaurants! The food was all very unique and different tasting and our guide gave us history that was actually interesting! We ended up becoming friends and going out with him and his girlfriend later!

We still talk about the lamb soup on this trip weekly and we’ve looked at booking flights back to Istanbul just to eat it again. It will change your life, for real. This is THE crash course in epic Turkish food!

PRAGUE

Activity: Truffle Hunting Tour with Lunch
Why We Love It/Why Book:
This is one of the most unique, once-in-a-lifetime tours we’ve done! Getting to meet the adorable truffle dog and go experience her hunting for truffles and learn how it’s done was so cool! The truffle lunch after was DELISH and the views over Prague were gorgeous! Our tour guide was super friendly and we learned a lot!

KRAKOW

Activity: Taste of Poland Food Tour
Why We Love It/Why Book:
This was probably the most informative food tour we’ve been on, but not in a boring way! Our guide, Isabelle, came prepared with lots of photos and stories of what we were eating and we got exclusive access to some of the most popular restaurants in Krakow!

We didn’t know much about Polish food but this gave us such an appreciation for it!

PARIS

Activity: Marais Tour and Cooking Class
Why We Love It/Why Book:
We learned how to cook French food with a Michelin Star chef! The chef that taught was SO FUNNY/cheeky and taught as some really great skills. Plus, we got to eat a delicious 4 course meal with French wine and walk around the Marais neighborhood and learn all about the best foodie spots and secrets from the chef.

This is a great one for memories that you can also translate to your life back home because now you know how to cook like the French!

SWITZERLAND

Activity: Paragliding in Interlaken
Why We Love It/Why Book:
HOLY MOLY THIS WAS INSANE! If you love adventure, this is for you. We got the most INCREDIBLE views over the Swiss Alps – you will never get these anywhere else unless you paraglide! We were strapped in with a guide and felt totally safe the whole time.

If you want to experience the Alps in a once-in-a-lifetime way, we cannot recommend this enough! It’s not cheap, but it’s WORTH IT.
