Rome, Italy: Mini Guide
Caleb and I LOVE Rome! There is so much regional food, amazing, varied architecture and gorgeous surroundings!
The food is AMAZING, the wine and food is incredible, there is so much history and culture, and it’s beautiful! What more could you ask for?
Where To Stay:
When it comes to where to stay in Rome, we recommend Trastevere. Unlike some other sprawling European cities, Rome’s main attractions are concentrated in specific areas, making Trastevere an ideal base. This charming neighborhood offers a perfect blend of local vibes and proximity to major sites like the Vatican, the Pantheon, and the Colosseum.

Trastevere’s cobblestone streets, lively piazzas, and hidden gems make it a destination in itself, so you can easily explore on foot without relying on public transportation.
Below, you’ll find some of our favorite stays in Trastevere, as well as a few that are on our “wish list” for the future. We’ve picked options that balance comfort with affordability, so you can save your euros for all the delicious food, wine, and unforgettable experiences Rome has to offer!
